IC Design 12 Bauhaus-era Christmas Ornaments
IC Design 12 Bauhaus-era Christmas Ornaments
Designed in 1929/30, possibly by the Bauhaus architect Johannes Gabriel in Dessau; originals from the estate of an architect from Cologne who purchased many objects directly at the Bauhaus; now in the design collection of Ameico.
In celebration of the centennial of the Bauhaus (1919 – 2019) Ameico is proud to re-edit this set of 12 turned wood Christmas ornaments. Their clean geometric forms are reminiscent of the costume designs of Oskar Schlemmer for the Triadic Ballet. Crafted in the Black Forest in Germany, to a large extent by hand.
