By purchasing products from house&hold you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Your Account
You are responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. If you are under 18, you may only use http://www.houseandhold.com/ with the assistance of a parent or guardian. houseandhold.com reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at their sole discretion, at any time, for any reason.
Returns
Your satisfaction is very important to us. Were happy to offer a 30 day return policy on most items purchased at houseandhold.com.
If you are not fully satisfied with your order, you may return items within 30 days of your receipt of merchandise for a full refund of the purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee. Items must be returned in their original condition with the original packaging. Customers are responsible for the return shipping costs to the return address provided during authorization. Returns are accepted for reasons other than damage, defects, or errors in processing (see damage & defect policy below).
The returned product must be in perfect resalable condition along with all original packaging, tags and inserts intact. Returned items received in less than perfect resalable condition will not be accepted.
Returns must be pre-authorized by emailing us at service@houseandhold.com to obtain an RA# and return address. Orders returned without pre-authorization will be subject to a restocking fee of up to 50% in addition to round trip shipping fees.
Returns should be properly packed in the products original packaging and sent at the customer's expense to the address we provide you during authorization.
Shipping costs will not be credited or refunded. house&hold will not be held responsible for returned items that are damaged or lost in transit, therefore we highly recommend returns be sent with proper packaging via a traced and insured shipping method.
Examples of non-returnable items at house&hold are clearance or open box items, special order items, custom made, oversized, and made to order items. Used and/or washed bedding cannot be returned. Products that have been installed (such as lighting), or assembled cannot be returned. Orders placed for commercial use are not returnable/refundable once shipped. These items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. If you are unsure whether or not the items you are interested in can be returned, please call us at 877-638-6171 or feel free to email us at service@houseandhold.com prior to placing your order.
Returned items returned in less than perfect condition, without a return authorization, or items returned to an unauthorized warehouse address may be rejected or incur a restocking fee of up to 50%.
Damages / Defects:
LTL SHIPPING DAMAGES
If your orders is delivered via Freight or LTL Truck Carrier, customers agree to inspect goods before accepting delivery. If the shipment has freight damage or is incorrect, customers must refuse the damaged items and mark the signed delivery document as “DAMAGED”. Please take clear photos of the damaged packaging and damaged goods as these will be required for filing a claim.
Damaged shipments must be refused. No claims will be honored if the customer keeps the damaged item at the time of delivery.
If the shipment is refused prior to inspection for actual damages to the product, you may be subject to re-delivery fees.
Damages claims must be submitted within 48 hours by emailing service@houseandhold.com. Please include your order number and several clear photos of the damaged product and packaging in your email.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you sign for a Freight / LTL shipment without noting the damage or error on the delivery receipt and refusing delivery, you assume liability for all damages or errors and forfeit the right to a claim. All damage claims must be received within 48 hours of your item's arrival. Damage claims reported after 48 hours of your item’s arrival cannot be processed.
If you chose to have your Freight / LTL shipment delivered without signature you waive all rights to a future claim. By having your item delivered without signature upon delivery, you also waive the right to inspect the item at the time of delivery. You also waive the right to file any claim due to loss, damage, or theft that may happen after the delivery occurs.
SMALL PARCEL SHIPPING DAMAGES
Damages for small parcel shipments must be reported within 48 hrs by emailing service@houseandhold.com with a minimum of 3 clear digital photos of damaged products and several clear photos of the outer packaging. Claims received after 48 hrs of delivery will not be processed. Customers must keep all packaging materials including the box which the shipment arrived in along with all inside contents. Packaging materials must be kept in the event that an item is damaged or defective. If packaging materials are not kept House&Hold cannot process a damage or defect claim.
DEFECTS
If you receive a product that has an issue other than damage, such as a manufacturer defect, claims must be filed withing 48hrs of delivery. Please keep all packaging materials including the box which the shipment arrived in along with all inside contents. Packaging materials must be kept in the event that an item is defective. If packaging materials are not kept House&Hold cannot process a defect claim.
Our policy is to replace or repair damaged, defective or incorrectly shipped items. If you have received a damaged, defective or incorrect item that can be remedied with replacement parts or a replacement product, and would prefer a return or refund rather than accept a replacement, then our normal return policy with 20% restocking/cancelation fee will apply and our normal return policy with 20% restocking/cancelation fee will apply. This is only applicable for returnable items. Replacement products are subject to current availability.
House&Hold is not responsible for any delays in your project or labor costs due to defective or damaged products or delays in receiving product.
Freight Shipments
Some heavier furniture pieces may ship via LTL freight carrier. Our free shipping covers curbside delivery, which means someone will need to be present to receive the shipment from the delivery truck at the time of the scheduled delivery.
Additional delivery services such as white glove delivery are not covered by our free shipping offer but are available for an additional delivery fee upon request. If you are in need of additional delivery services, please reach out to us at service@houseandhold.com prior to placing your order, or immediately after placing your order so we can provide you with a quote. White glove may or may not be an option for all products, and all locations.
Please note that LTL shipment transit times can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks.
Most freight shippers deliver during regular business hours (9-5pm Monday - Friday).
Some orders for large quantities of large or heavy items (typically 10+ pieces) may not qualify for free shipping. Please reach out for a shipping quote prior to placing your order.
Warranties
All products are covered by the warranty policies of the their respective manufacturers. If you have questions about the warranty for a specific product, or if you have questions on how to make a warranty claim, please contact us.
Refunds
For returnable items: house&hold will refund for the full price minus a 20% restocking fee. Please refer to our return policy (above) for details.
For non-returnable items: house&hold does not allow returns or issue refunds on non-returnable items.
Errors on Our Site
Prices and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and house&hold reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, house&hold will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.
Availability and Lead Times
Availability given on product description pages are only estimates. Posted lead times are not a contract and should not be treated as such. Many factors can contribute to lead shipping delays from the manufacturer. We will contact you once we become aware of any delays in availability. If you are in need of a definite lead time on a product, please contact us prior to your order.
Order Cancellation / Refused Deliveries
Most orders can be canceled without a cancellation / restocking fee as long as the items are not processing for shipment or in transit. Order cancellation requests must be emailed to service@houseandhold.com. Items that are in the process of shipment or in transit cannot be canceled. Custom made, special order, and made to order items cannot be canceled after 24 hours of placing an order.
Orders that are able to be canceled after an item is preparing for shipment (but not yet in transit) may incur a 20% cancellation fee. Refused deliveries, or orders that are canceled after the item has shipped will be subject to round trip shipping costs, refused delivery fees and restocking fees. Refused deliveries for non-returnable items will not be processed for return or refunded.
Contact / shipping information
Please be careful to provide accurate and reliable contact and or shipping information when placing your order at house&hold. Any charges or losses incurred as a result of our inability to reach you, or inaccurate information are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Discounts + Promotions
Discount codes cannot be combined with other on sale items, store discounts or promotions. Occasionally, house&hold offers special promotions which may include sales or free products on orders over a certain dollar amount. Cancelled orders or returned items related to these promotions will be refunded in full minus the retail price of the promotional item unless the promotional item is sent back in new perfect condition at customers expense.
Due to extended discounts to the trade, trade clientele are not able to participate in the Rewards Program.
Website Images
We do our best to display colors as accurately as possible to the actual colors of the products shown on the Website. However, because the colors you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be accurate. Website images and colors may appear differently on different monitors.
Many products made with natural materials may vary in color and texture than what is shown on the website. Variances in natural materials are not considered defective.
Changes to terms and conditions
house&hold reserves the right to make any changes to this site and its policies, terms, and conditions without notification.
User Warranties
In placing an order, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are providing accurate, true, and complete information and that you have the authority to place the order.
Disclaimer of Warranties
You expressly understand and agree that your use of this site is at your sole risk and that this site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. house&hold makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of this site or the information, content, or products included on this site.
We attempt to provide current and accurate information on our web sites, email and telephone communications. We do not, however, warrant that this information is correct, accurate or complete.
While we make commercially accepted best efforts to maintain the security of customer transactions, its liability in cases of third party theft or misuse is limited to the funds which we have already collected in reference to the customer’s most recent order.
Indemnification agreement
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless house&hold and http://www.houseandhold.com/ and its officers, directors, employees and suppliers, from any claim, demand, action or damage, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made or incurred by any third party arising out of or related to your use of this site.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your account and restrict your use of this site if we have reason to believe you have violated any of these terms and conditions, including providing us with false information. house&hold reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
